Head Coach Scott Rhoads
Head Coach Scott Rhoads began wrestling in 5th grade with the West Bend Wildcat Wrestling Club taking 5th place in the Wisconsin Folk Style state tournament as a first year wrestler. He went on to place second in state his 7th grade year and third in 8th grade. He also experimented in Free Style and Greco-Roman wrestling as a 7th grade wrestler placing second in both state tournaments. He went on to participate on the Wisconsin National Free Style team as a 7th grade wrestler as well.
As a high school wrestler, Scott went on to break records for the Kewaskum Wrestling Team with a winning record of 138-20 over-all. He also holds the record as the first two-time folkstyle state champion for Kewaskum winning his junior and senior year both at 145 lbs.
After graduating high school, Scott went on to train with the Badgers at the University of Wisconsin in Madison under head coach Barry Davis. After spending a semester with the Badgers, he transferred the UW Oshkosh in order to better suit his major in Elementary Education and wrestle under the extreme coaching of Mike DeRoehn.
Finishing his collegiate freshman year placing 4th in the conference, he returned his sophomore year only to be held out of competition by a medical decision. Scott still trains with the Titans as an assistant not only to help his teammates become national champions, but in order to keep improving his own skill and technique on the mat. |
